Pravigya Regmi

Pravigya Regmi, the founder and chairperson of Education for the NextGen, brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the field of progressive education. With a Master's degree in Education, specializing in Educational Planning and Management, and additional qualifications in Curriculum Planning and Development, Regmi has dedicated his career to transforming traditional educational systems into dynamic, engaging, and inclusive environments that cater to the needs of 21st-century learners.
Regmi's passion for student-centered learning and his deep understanding of the importance of progressive teaching methodologies have been instrumental in shaping the NextGen approach. Through his work with Education for the NextGen, he has successfully implemented progressive school programs in various contexts, demonstrating their effectiveness in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to navigate the challenges of the modern world. 
Regmi has further education at Tufts University, USA, broadening his understanding of the intersections between education and policy. Under his visionary leadership, Education for the NextGen has become a beacon of excellence in progressive education, inspiring schools and educators worldwide to embrace a more holistic and student-centered approach to teaching and learning.

Brenda Seymour

Brenda has a Master’s degree in English as a Second Language and also specializes in Elementary education. She has taught in different countries around the world, and many places in the U.S. She has worked for secondary and elementary schools in the USA as an English teacher and is currently teaching at the Worchester State University, Worchester, MA. Her focus has been on teaching all levels of English, beginning to advanced. Brenda is a key member of the curriculum development team at Education for the NextGen, where she plays a crucial role in creating comprehensive scope and sequences for English Language Arts (ELA). Her expertise lies in meticulously crafting learning progressions that ensure a seamless and engaging learning experience for students.

Carmel Valianti Smith

Ms. Carmel Valianti, the Founder and President of EN2.0, who will help design and support STEAM program, and have sessions on sustainability and renewable energy, at New Millennium School  in April 2022. 
EN2.0’s mission is consistent with Carmel’s lifelong passions of enhancing educational opportunities and providing environmental  solutions in the U.S. and internationally. She was the founder and Director of “Solar Now”. Her career has included teaching,  consulting, organizing national conferences, conducting workshops and speaking at the United Nations U.N.E.P program. Carmel’s work has been recognized with many awards, including the  Distinguished Alumni Service Award from the University Of Massachusetts,  Amherst; a National Environmental “E”chievement award from a National  Public Radio program;  an E.P.A. Presidential Commendation from  President George H.W. Bush; an “Outstanding Teacher” award   and the  “Teacher Venture” award from Paradise Valley Unified School District,  AZ.  Carmel has been a featured Keynote speaker at numerous conferences  including The Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, NYC.   She has been interviewed on the PBS news show The McNeal – Lear NewsHour. Carmel was also personally spotlighted on Voice of America in an  international news broadcast. Museum, Under the Sun Workshop, July 7-91998 been interviewed on National Public radio many times. Carmel contributes a wealth of educational expertise to the NextGen Curriculum, bringing a depth of knowledge and experience to the team. Her pivotal role in the transformation of New Millennium School in Lalitpur, Nepal, showcases her significant impact and dedication to enhancing educational practices and fostering positive change within the school community.

Joe Pirraglia

Mr.Joe Pirraglia, who will provide a week-long training at the New Millennium School for ELA teachers and work with the Leading teachers.
Joe Pirraglia worked as a teacher, building administrator, and district administrator in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts before starting his current role as Facilitator/Coach for the Center for Leadership and Educational Equity (clee-ri.org) based in Providence, Rhode Island. He has a B.A. in Elementary Education/English from the University of Rhode Island and an M.Ed. in School Leadership from Rhode Island College. His professional interests include supporting and fostering the growth of school leaders, rethinking traditional models to address inequities, and strategies to increase student engagement in the classroom. In his current role, Joe supports prospective and positional educational leaders as well as schools, districts, and state agencies to address inequitable student outcomes.
Joe, an experienced educator and curriculum developer, has made significant contributions to enhancing education in Nepal through his work with Education for the NextGen. During his visits to Nepal, Joe has collaborated extensively with private school teachers, sharing his expertise and working alongside them to develop engaging and effective school curriculum and plans.
Joe's dedication to improving educational outcomes is evident in the numerous ways he supports Education for the NextGen's initiatives.

Kabita Aryal

Kabita Aryal, an accomplished educator with a Master's in Education specializing in educational management, has made significant contributions to the field of education in Nepal. With over 20 years of experience, she has excelled as an educational administrator, school program coordinator, and accomplished teacher. Kabita's expertise lies in progressive educational approaches, and she is recognized as a professional trainer and speaker in this domain. 
Her additional training from Tufts University's Novel Engineering program has equipped her with expertise in STEAM education, enabling her to develop innovative and engaging educational programs.
Kabita's progressive program implementation at schools has been instrumental in transforming the educational landscape in Nepal. She has worked closely with teachers, administrators, and students to develop and implement curriculum that is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the needs of 21st-century learners. Her programs have been designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students, preparing them to succeed in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. Through her work, Kabita has demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of progressive education in Nepal, inspiring a new generation of educators and learners and leaving a lasting impact on the country's educational system.

Bruce Smith

Dr. Bruce Smith, a dedicated medical professional and family doctor, discovered his profound passion for education during a visit to Nepal, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by schools in Kathmandu and remote areas in western Nepal. His experience ignited a strong commitment to improving education, leading him to actively contribute to Education for the NextGen. Dr. Smith plays a pivotal role in bringing valuable educational resources to the organization, leveraging his expertise to develop comprehensive educational plans and promote health education initiatives.

Adhishree Regmi

Adhishree Regmi, a passionate educator, is currently pursuing specialization in Curriculum Planning and Development at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, USA. Her dedication to education and love for working with children have been the driving forces behind her academic and professional pursuits.
Adhishree's commitment to enhancing education extends beyond her studies. She actively supports Education for the NextGen by conducting research on current trends in progressive education, developing engaging modules and comprehensive educational plans for schools. Her expertise in School Improvement Planning (SIP) allows her to work closely with school administrators and teachers to identify areas of growth and implement strategies for school-wide improvement.
Additionally, Adhishree specializes in teaching phonemic awareness to primary-level children, recognizing the importance of early literacy development in shaping their academic and personal success. Through her research, curriculum development, and direct work with children, Adhishree continues to make valuable contributions to the field of education, driven by her belief in the transformative power of learning.
